MARKETING SPECIALIST Location: Johannesburg, GautengEmployment Type: Contract / PermanentIndustry: Financial Services Our client is looking for an experienced Integrated Marketing Specialist to develop and execute impactful Integrated Marketing and Communication (IMC) campaigns across digital, direct, social media, print and above-the-line channels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for translating marketing strategies into engaging campaigns that connect with target audiences, strengthen brand positioning and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication campaigns across digital, social media, direct marketing, print and other relevant channels.
Partner with business stakeholders to translate marketing strategies into effective campaign plans.
Use customer research, insights and market trends to develop targeted and relevant marketing initiatives.
Plan and execute product activations, client events and engagement initiatives.
Develop creative briefs and manage relationships with external agencies and media partners.
Support sponsorship initiatives in line with approved marketing strategies and frameworks.
Develop media plans and coordinate media buying activities to maximise campaign reach and impact.
Leverage digital channels, social media and marketing technology to engage targeted audiences.
Monitor campaign performance and use data and analytics to measure effectiveness, ROI and customer engagement.
Optimise campaigns based on performance insights and business objectives.
Manage allocated campaign budgets and ensure spend remains within approved parameters.
Collaborate with internal marketing, digital, technical and business teams to ensure seamless campaign execution.
Stay informed on financial services trends, customer behaviour and the competitive landscape.
Provide guidance and support to junior members of the marketing team where required.
Minimum Requirements Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Commerce or a related field .
Minimum 7 years' marketing experience , with at least 5–7 years' experience developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
Strong experience across digital marketing, social media, content marketing, email marketing and SEO/SEM .
Experience using data, analytics and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and measure campaign performance.
Experience managing multiple marketing projects within a fast-paced environment.
Proven experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
At least 1–2 years' experience engaging with Executive-level stakeholders to develop and implement marketing plans.
Experience with CRM systems, marketing automation tools and analytics platforms .
Previous experience within the financial services industry is essential.
Strong project management, analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
