Linux Infrastructure / DevOps Engineers – Multiple Levels
Location: Menlyn, Pretoria
Working Model: Hybrid – 2 days per week in office
Contract: 3-Year Renewable Contract
Start: ASAP
We looking for experienced Linux Infrastructure / DevOps Engineers across multiple seniority levels (entry, advanced and senior) for a large-scale, enterprise technology environment.
These are hands-on technical roles focused on Linux infrastructure, automation, configuration management, cloud technologies, security, monitoring and highly available production environments .

The technical environment
Linux Infrastructure
- Linux/Unix administration in enterprise/production environments
- RHEL, Ubuntu and/or SUSE/SLES
- Linux installation, configuration, administration and troubleshooting
- Linux security, hardening, vulnerability remediation and patching
- Package, repository and lifecycle management
- Server performance, availability and capacity management
- High Availability / resilient infrastructure
Automation & Configuration Management
- Strong Ansible / Ansible Tower
- Infrastructure and configuration automation
- Config-as-Code / Infrastructure as Code
- Scripting with Bash, Python, Perl and/or PowerShell
- Automating deployments, configuration, patching and operational tasks
- GitHub / GitOps practices and version-controlled infrastructure
Cloud & Virtualisation
- AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
- Cloud infrastructure administration and integration
- VMware experience advantageous
- Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes and/or OpenShift is highly beneficial
Networking & Security
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and SSH
- Network troubleshooting in Linux environments
- Access controls, certificates and secure communications
- Linux security standards and hardening
- Experience supporting secure enterprise infrastructure
Monitoring & Operations
- Monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Grafana and/or Dynatrace
- Splunk advantageous
- Incident, problem and change management
- ServiceNow advantageous
- Supporting business-critical production environments

The opportunities span different experience levels, so we're interested in candidates ranging from experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineers through to highly experienced Entry/Advanced/Senior Linux & DevOps specialists .
You should be comfortable troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, automating repetitive processes, working independently and supporting enterprise-scale production systems .
Important
This is not a general Desktop Support / Microsoft 365 role .
We are specifically targeting candidates with demonstrable, hands-on experience in Linux infrastructure , ideally combined with Ansible/automation, scripting, cloud and DevOps tooling .
