Human Capital Business Partner

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business performance through workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, performance enablement, change management, and Human Capital project implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Human Capital Partnership

• Partner with management to provide strategic and operational Human Capital support.
• Implement and monitor Human Capital policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Drive the delivery of Human Capital plans, programmes, and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with relevant labour legislation and company policies.

Employee Relations

• Support and guide managers on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and performance-related matters.
• Foster positive employee relations through effective stakeholder engagement.
• Provide advice on labour legislation and associated processes.
• Build and maintain constructive relationships with employees, management, and employee representatives.

Talent Management & Development

• Support recruitment, selection, and appointment processes.
• Facilitate onboarding and induction initiatives for new employees.
• Assist with talent management, succession planning, and employee development activities.
• Coordinate learning and development interventions in line with business requirements.
• Support performance enablement and employee wellness initiatives.

Performance Management

• Facilitate and support the implementation of performance management processes.
• Guide managers and employees through performance discussions and development planning.
• Drive a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Change Management & Projects

• Partner with Human Capital specialists and business leaders on organisational projects and change initiatives.
• Support the implementation of people-focused programmes aligned with business objectives.
• Assist in driving organisational effectiveness and employee engagement.

Reporting & Administration

• Ensure accurate and timely Human Capital reporting.
• Maintain effective Human Capital administration and record management.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on workforce data and trends.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Organisational Behaviour, Humanities, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years' Human Resources / Human Capital generalist experience .
• Experience partnering with management teams in a business partnering capacity.
• Exposure to employee relations, talent management, performance management, and organisational change initiatives.
• Experience operating within a complex corporate environment will be advantageous.

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• Sound knowledge of South African labour legislation, including:
  • Labour Relations Act (LRA)
  • Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA)
  • Employment Equity Act (EEA)
  • Skills Development legislation
• Knowledge of talent acquisition and talent management practices.
• Understanding of performance management methodologies.
• Knowledge of Human Capital administration processes.
• Change management and project coordination exposure.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• SAP experience will be advantageous.
