KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the Lodge Manager with the overall day-to-day running of the lodge
- Provide operational support to Heads of Department
- Monitor daily operations and ensure standards and procedures are maintained
- Ensure high standards of guest service and resolve guest concerns when required
- Be visible and hands-on, particularly during busy periods and key guest service times
- Assist with staff supervision, training, coaching, and performance management
- Assist with daily operational planning, including occupancy, guest movements, staffing, and special arrangements
- Assist with stock control, cost management, and operational expenses
- Assist with staff rosters, daily planning, and general administration
- Maintain accurate records, reports, checklists, and operational documentation
- Ensure administrative tasks and follow-ups are completed accurately and within required timeframes
- Ensure effective communication between departments
- Assist with functions, groups, and special events
- Act as Manager on Duty when required
- Assist with operational improvements and ensure agreed actions are followed through
- Provide regular feedback to the Lodge Manager on operational matters, staffing, guest feedback, and outstanding issues
- Take a proactive approach to identifying problems and finding practical solutions
- R28,000 – R30,000 CTC per month
- Live-in accommodation provided
