Management Accountant

A leading manufacturing organisation based in Somerset West, Western Cape , is seeking a motivated and analytical Management Accountant to join its finance team on a contract basis.

 
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to gain hands-on exposure to operational finance, financial reporting, governance, budgeting, and forecasting within a dynamic manufacturing environment.

 
The successful candidate will take ownership of the weekly reporting process while supporting the onsite finance team with month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial governance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee weekly reporting across all departments.
• Improve and standardise financial reporting processes.
• Support financial governance and compliance initiatives.
• Assist with accurate and timely month-end reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor budget performance and identify key variances.
• Participate in internal and external audit processes.

Job Experience and Skills Required:
Completed BCom Accounting Degree .
Completed SAIPA or CIMA articles .
2 - 3 years’ post-articles experience .
Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Manufacturing or operational finance experience will be advantageous.
