Job Title: Commercial Property Caretaker

Location: Brakpan (On-Site)

Type of Employment: Full-Time

Salary: Up to R15 000.00 Depending on Experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance for buildings, stores, and company houses.
• Supervise and coordinate work of plumbers, electricians, and roofers.
• Perform and schedule routine DIY maintenance tasks (painting, minor plumbing repairs, carpentry, electrical work).
• Assess maintenance problems, determine solutions, and create action plans.
• Develop and manage maintenance schedules for regular inspections and repairs.
• Maintain a log of maintenance issues and track progress.
• Manage maintenance supplies and equipment, coordinating with suppliers for materials.
• Use own vehicle for transportation to maintenance sites (fuel expenses covered).

Requirements: 

• Proven experience in property maintenance and general DIY tasks.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and roofing work.
• Skilled in various DIY tasks.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple maintenance tasks and schedules.
• Effective problem-solving abilities to assess and diagnose maintenance issues.
• Supervisory skills to coordinate and ensure quality work from contractors.
• Good communication skills for interacting with contractors, suppliers, and property occupants.
• Own vehicle required for transportation to maintenance sites (fuel expenses covered).
• Flexibility to handle emergencies and unexpected maintenance issues.
• Reliability and dependability in managing property maintenance tasks.
