Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a construction contractor in eMalahleni. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.
Home base is a construction contractor on the eMalahleni side of Mpumalanga. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.
The work, day to day
- Match orders, delivery notes and invoices before a payment goes out
- Reconcile bank accounts daily and clear unallocated items
- Reconcile creditors statements and sort out differences with suppliers
- Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
- Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
What you need
- Matric with Accounting
- Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
- Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
- Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
Helpful, not essential
- Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper
- Experience with debt collection letters and handover to attorneys
