Junior Fire Fighter (X1)
Central Karoo District Municipality
The Central Karoo District Municipality is situated within the Karoo with its base in Beaufort West. It comprises three local municipalities, namely Laingsburg, Prince Albert and Beaufort West Municipalities.
CORE FUNCTION
The District Junior Fire Fighter will suppress and control fires in structures and other locations using specialised knowledge and tools, conduct rescue efforts for individuals involved in accidents and provide emergency medical attention Participating in fire and life safety training and preparation Conducting upkeep on vehicles, equipment and the fire station Performing basic administrative functions Performing apparatus and machinery operation Operate a variety of vehicles, light and heavy driven machinery up to level of certification Ensure a safe and healthy work environment and safe application of dutiesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Grade 12 or higher one (1) year minimum operational experience Firefighter I course Hazmat Awareness First Aid Level 3 Code: EB Drivers Licence Physically and Mentally fit Medical Test NFPA 1582 No criminal record.KEY COMPETENCIES
