A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in the Western Cape. This is a high-impact opportunity for a finance professional who is ready to take ownership of key accounting processes while providing reliable financial information to support management decision-making. Duties:
- Take ownership of the full month-end accounting close process
- Prepare and review journals, accruals, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Oversee the creditors and debtors functions and ensure outstanding matters are resolved
- Prepare and review VAT, PAYE, and other statutory submissions
- Liaise with SARS and relevant regulatory authorities on tax and compliance matters
- Prepare and review audit schedules and supporting documentation
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Provide management with accurate financial reporting and ad hoc analysis
- BCom Accounting or relevant qualification
- Minimum 5 years experience
- Strong knowledge of VAT, PAYE, and statutory compliance
- Solid understanding of month-end accounting and financial reporting
