A fleet management company in Mahikeng, North West is hiring a Dispatcher to oversee operation and maintenance of a large vehicle fleet. You will schedule servicing and repairs, manage fuel consumption and costs, monitor driver behaviour, and ensure all vehicles are licensed and roadworthy. Fleet management software experience is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Supervise warehouse staff including pickers, packers, and forklift drivers, ensuring work is carried out safely and efficiently.
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with health and safety regulations including safe operation of material handling equipment.
- Prepare and process all import and export documentation including customs declarations, bills of entry, and shipping instructions.
- Monitor and report on KPIs including on-time delivery rates, inventory accuracy, warehouse throughput, and transport costs.
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and customers to coordinate smooth flow of goods across the supply chain.
Requirements
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems, transport management systems, or ERP systems such as SAP.
- A diploma or degree in logistics, supply chain management, transport management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- A valid driver's licence is essential; own transport may be required for roles involving site visits or shift work.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with internal teams and external providers.
