Job Description:
This position involves:
- Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger and ensure accurate financial record-keeping
- Preparing and processing journal entries and supporting documentation
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
- Supporting month-end close processes and management reporting
- Performing bank reconciliations and assisting with payment preparation and banking administration
- Assisting with VAT submissions, audits, and other statutory compliance requirements
- Supporting financial analysis, ad hoc reporting, and process improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience:
- 5 years' commercial accounting experience
- Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end processes
- Manufacturing or retail experience (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, VAT, and statutory compliance
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and numerical ability
Qualification:
- CA (SA), CIMA, PA (SA) OR AGA (SA)
