Requirements : Basic R425 qualification in nursing that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as professional nurse. A minimum of 9 years' appropriate experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC. At least 5 years of period referred above should be appropriate/recognized experience after obtaining the 1-year post basic diploma in Clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment (PHC) accredited with SANC. Applicant must be computer literate (Ms word, Ms excel, PowerPoint and outlook. Excellent report writing skills. Must have a valid driver's license. A qualification in Health Services Management / Nursing Administration from a recognised institution will be an added advantage. Duties : Demonstrate an in depth understanding of nursing of legislation and related legal and ethical nursing practices and how this impacts on service delivery. Ensure that the clinical nursing practice by the nursing team (area/facility) is rendered in accordance with the scope of practice and nursing standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Promote quality of nursing care as directed by the professional scope of practice and standards as determined by the relevant health facility. Demonstrate a basic understanding of the legislative framework governing the public service.
