About the Role Our client is looking for a skilled Process Control Engineer to enhance their operations in Soweto , offering a hybrid work arrangement.
This role is vital for designing, implementing, and maintaining sophisticated process control systems that optimize plant efficiency, safety, and product quality.
You will work on advanced automation solutions, ensuring seamless integration of control logic with plant hardware and software.
This position is ideal for an engineer with a strong understanding of instrumentation, control theory, and automation technologies, looking to make a significant impact in a modern chemical manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and commission process control systems , including PLC, DCS, and SCADA.
Develop and optimize control strategies to improve process stability, yield, and energy efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process instrumentation and control systems.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to ensure reliability of control hardware and software.
Maintain up-to-date documentation for control system designs, configurations, and operating procedures.
Stay abreast of new automation technologies and recommend advancements for implementation.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering , Electrical Engineering, or Instrumentation Engineering.
4+ years of experience in process control engineering within a chemical or industrial plant setting.
Proficiency with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell) and DCS systems.
Strong understanding of instrumentation, control theory, and feedback loops.
Experience with safety instrumented systems (SIS) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
