- Conduct guided walking safaris and game drives in a safe, engaging, and highly informative manner
- Interpret local ecology, wildlife behaviour, birdlife, and environmental features knowledgeably for guests
- Maintain open, fluid communication with Lodge Managers regarding all guest movements, preferences, and concerns
- Ensure complete safety protocols are followed for guests, staff, and reserve animals at all times
- Manage the timeous, conscientious care and maintenance of all game viewing vehicles and specialized guiding equipment
- Participate actively in reserve research programs, ecosystem monitoring, and hands-on conservation activities
- Collaborate closely with Front of House teams and lodge staff to constantly uphold the reserves 5-star service standard
Requirements
Work Experience & Skills- Experience : Minimum of 5 years of active experience working as a professional Guide
- Driving Licence : Valid drivers license with 4x4 driving experience and a Public Driver's Permit (PrDP)
- Core Certifications : Valid Advanced Rifle Handling (ARH) and a FGASA Level 1 Certificate (minimum)
- Legal Registration : Must be officially registered with NDT
- First Aid : Valid First Aid Level 1
- Education : Grade 12 Certificate is required
