Lodge Manager

This is a practical, all-rounder role for someone who thrives on variety, from overseeing maintenance and housekeeping to managing F&B and reservations. The lodge wants someone who can run the show independently while keeping guests, staff, and standards in check. Core Criteria:
- Previous experience in a similar lodge management role
- Strong maintenance knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting ability
- Solid experience in housekeeping oversight
- Good working knowledge of food and beverage operations
- Familiarity with reservations systems, agents, and OTA platforms such as Booking.com
- Strong leadership and staff management skills
- Reliable, independent, and comfortable running a small operation
- Willingness to upskill and mentor junior team members
- Oversee all lodge maintenance and coordinate repairs as needed
- Manage and support the housekeeping team to maintain high standards
- Oversee food and beverage service and quality
- Handle reservations, agent bookings, and OTA platform management
- Manage day-to-day guest experience and front-of-house operations
- Supervise and support lodge staff across departments
- Handle general administrative duties tied to lodge operations
- Step in across departments as needed to keep the operation running smoothly
- Salary: R25,000 per month
- Live-in position with meals included
