An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for reproductive medicine to join the team at Wijnland Fertility as an IVF Coordinator. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patients undergoing fertility treatments, serving as their primary point of contact and providing expert clinical guidance and emotional support.
What You’ll Do
- Patient Education & Support: Provide comprehensive education on procedures and medications while offering empathetic counselling through complex emotional journeys.
- Care Coordination: Schedule and coordinate diagnostic tests, consultations, and treatments—including intricate donor cycles and international patients—collaborating closely with physicians and embryologists.
- Medication & Monitoring: Instruct patients on proper administration techniques (including injections and hormonal therapies) and monitor responses to adjust protocols dynamically.
- Advocacy & Documentation: Act as a dedicated patient advocate, assisting with clinical navigation, financial/insurance guidance, and meticulous medical record-keeping.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or equivalent) with active SANC registration.
- A recognized qualification in Midwifery.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience. Previous fertility experience, as well as theatre and recovery room experience, will be highly advantageous.
- Skills: Fluent in English with exceptional interpersonal and empathic communication skills.
- Admin & Tech: Computer literate with a strong systematic approach, acute attention to detail, and excellent organizational abilities.
- Ethical Standard: Unwavering commitment to patient confidentiality and compassionate, ethical healthcare.
Working Hours
- Full-time (Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week).
- One Saturday per month and alternating public holidays.
