Guests at this boutique guesthouse in Somerset West meet you first, so the stay starts at your desk. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.
The site is in Somerset West; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.
What your day looks like
- Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
- Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
- Store guest details securely in line with POPIA.
- Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.
- Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
What you need
- Matric
- Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
- Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
- Honest with cash and card payments
Helpful, not essential
- A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
- Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
- Revenue or yield management exposure
