Key Responsibilities
- Analyse data to identify trends and inform decision-making
- Support pricing, product development, and profitability analysis
- Develop actuarial models for forecasting and risk assessment
- Assist with statutory reporting, budgeting, and ORSA processes
- Assess financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Prepare reports and present insights to stakeholders
- Support regulatory and compliance reporting
- Collaborate across finance, risk, and business teams
Requirements
Qualifications
- Degree in Actuarial Science (SAQA-accredited)
- Progress toward ASSA exams (A-series minimum)
Experience
- 3+ years’ experience in life insurance financial reporting
- Exposure to pricing, reserving, modelling, or risk management
- Experience supporting actuarial or strategic decisions
Technical Skills
- Strong statistical and analytical capability
- Knowledge of IFRS 17 / Solvency II (or equivalent)
- Experience with actuarial modelling and data analysis tools
- Programming / data analytics skills
- Power BI, Tableau, or similar (advantageous)
