Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the Coega, Port Elizabeth team.
- Execute preventative and reactive maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime
- Support implementation of planned maintenance schedules and TPM initiatives
- Monitor equipment performance and report on downtime and recurring issues
- Assist with root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions
- Ensure availability of critical spares and assist with stock control
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of artisans and technicians
- Provide hands‑on technical support during breakdowns and maintenance work
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company policies
- Assist in maintaining maintenance records and reporting on KPIs
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize downtime and disruptions
- Supervise contractors on-site where required
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a maintenance environment within FMCG manufacturing
- Exposure to automated systems, PLCs, packaging equipment, and utilities
- Sound knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
- Basic proficiency in MS Office
- Valid driver’s license and own transport
- Must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
- Must be willing to work every second weekend and perform standby duties
