ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process day-to-day financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage customer invoicing, supplier invoices and related accounting entries
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
- Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Process general ledger entries and maintain supporting documentation
- Manage accounts payable and receivable
- Assist with month-end procedures and prepare accounts up to trial balance
- Maintain sound financial administration and internal controls
- Support the finance team with reporting and other accounting-related duties
- At least 6 years’ relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
- An accounting degree or relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
- Candidates with SAIPA or SAICA training and experience will also be considered
- Strong practical experience in transaction processing, invoicing and reconciliations
- Ability to manage accounting records through to trial balance
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
- A loyal, dependable and committed attitude
