ABOUT THE POSITIONOptivest Health Services is looking for Health Consultants to join our team in Durbanville , Cape Town.
As a Health Consultant, you will speak to qualified leads, understand their health-cover needs and provide advice on suitable Medical Scheme, Health Insurance and Gap Cover solutions.
You will guide clients through the process from the initial conversation and quotation through to the activation of their cover.
KEY FUNCTIONS- Engage Telephonically and electronically with clients.
- Needs analysis discussion and comparative quote preparation
- Give the best advice – recommend product that will meet the need of the client and protect the client against identified risks
- Convert qualified leads into new health-cover contracts
- Capture sales accurately through our online and telephone processes.
- Follow up with the relevant product provider until the client's cover is activated.
- Keep clients informed throughout the application and activation process.
- Send all required FAIS-related communication to clients.
- Ensure all client interactions and sales comply with company, FAIS and regulatory requirements.

- Accurate and attentive to detail.
- Comfortable working in a regulated and compliance-driven environment.
In possession of their own reliable transport.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS- Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- RE5 Certificate (advantageous)
- CMS accreditation (advantageous)
- Inseta record with additional qualifications relevant to financial services industry (Wealth Management NQF level 5 advantageous)
- Previous experience in Direct Marketing and Sales environment
- Medical scheme advice and/or service experience
- Financial and Health Insurance experience (advantageous)
- Regulatory knowledge and compliance with FAIS and FICA legislation (advantageous)
