Are you looking to grow your career within a professional accounting practice? We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper who is eager to develop their skills in a dynamic and client-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys working with a variety of clients and taking ownership of the full bookkeeping function. The successful candidate will gain exposure to monthly management reporting, reconciliations, fixed asset management, and year-end audit support while working alongside an experienced team of accounting professionals.
- Download and maintain bank statements from various banking platforms.
- Process sales journals, accrual journals, and monthly accruals.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register.
- Perform loan account reconciliations and allocations.
- Reconcile credit card and cheque account statements to the general ledger.
- Prepare and maintain debtor account reconciliations.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly management account reconciliations.
- Compile management packs for review by management.
- Assist with year-end audit requirements and requests.
- Perform general bookkeeping functions up to trial balance.
- Minimum 3 years' bookkeeping experience within an accounting firm or similar environment.
- Proven experience preparing management accounts and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes.
- Xero experience is non-negotiable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
