RF Electronic Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior RF Engineer to lead our Research & Development function and drive the design, development, and industrialisation of advanced RF products for the telecommunications industry.
This is a senior engineering position responsible for the technical leadership of antenna, filter, duplexer, splitter, and power and signal distribution product development. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to develop high-performance solutions that meet evolving industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

RF Product Development

• Lead the design, development, testing, and industrialisation of:
  • Base station and specialised antennas
  • RF filters, duplexers, splitters, and passive RF components
  • Power and signal distribution systems for telecommunications infrastructure
• Translate customer requirements into commercially viable engineering solutions.
• Perform RF modelling, simulation, design validation, and optimisation.
• Develop technical specifications, test procedures, and engineering documentation.

Product Industrialisation

• Support manufacturing setup and production readiness.
• Develop and improve manufacturing and testing processes.
• Participate in component selection and sourcing decisions.
• Work closely with Quality Assurance to ensure products meet required performance and reliability standards.

Customer & Technical Leadership

• Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide engineering expertise.
• Drive innovation through continuous product improvement and new technology development.
• Support product certification and customer acceptance processes.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to members of the engineering team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, quality, sales, and project teams.
• Contribute to business planning and product roadmap development.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives aligned with ISO 9001 quality standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Engineering with a specialisation in Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering.
• Postgraduate qualification (Honours or Master's) specialising in RF Engineering.
• Extensive experience in RF product design and development within the telecommunications or wireless communications industry.
• Proven experience designing antennas, RF filters, duplexers, splitters, or related passive RF components.
• Strong understanding of RF propagation, impedance matching, transmission lines, microwave engineering, and electromagnetic theory.
• Experience taking products from concept through design, testing, industrialisation, and production.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with RF simulation and electromagnetic modelling tools.
• Knowledge of antenna measurement techniques and RF laboratory equipment.
• Experience working with manufacturing, quality assurance, and product certification.
• Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure, mobile communication networks, and tower systems.
• Experience working within an ISO 9001 quality management environment.
