Manager: Treasury & Financial Risk

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of Treasury and Financial Risk Management projects across multiple clients.
- Design and review treasury governance frameworks, policies, and risk management processes.
- Advise on liquidity risk, funding risk, capital management, ALM, FTP, and hedging strategies.
- Gather and document business requirements while managing stakeholder expectations and regulatory considerations.
- Support treasury system implementations, enhancements, and post-implementation reviews.
- Drive business development initiatives through proposal preparation, thought leadership, and client engagement.
- Coach and develop junior team members while contributing to the growth of the practice.
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:
- BCom Honours in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field.
- CA(SA), CFA, FRM, or equivalent professional qualification advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience within Treasury, Financial Risk Management, Banking, Consulting, Advisory, or Financial Services environments.
- Strong exposure to Treasury Risk, Liquidity Risk, Market Risk, ALM, Funding, or Balance Sheet Management.
- Experience managing projects and engaging with senior stakeholders.
- Previous consulting or advisory experience will be advantageous.

- Liquidity and Funding Risk Management
- Capital and Balance Sheet Management
- Treasury Systems and Risk Reporting
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills

- Sound understanding of the regulatory environment affecting financial institutions.
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work across multiple engagements and manage competing priorities.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
