Production Kitchen Assistant | Cape Town | Bakery and Ice Cream A busy icecream and dessert production outlet in Cape Town is looking for a handson; energetic PRODUCTION KITCHEN ASSISTANT to join the team at Woodstock Quarters, Cape Town. This role suits someone early in their career who enjoys physical work and learns fast. You dont need ice cream experience. If you can bake, work hard, and show up every day, the outlet will teach you everything else. Why this job is different Daytime hours no 3am bakery starts. Monday to Friday weekends off (with the occasional Saturday during peak season). A cool, clean production lab not a hot bakery environment. A rare skillset learn professional ice cream production, something few people in South Africa can do. What youll do Work the outlets baking station : cookies, waffles, malva pudding. Operate and maintain the outlets ice cream machines (full training provided). Monitor texture; quality, and consistency of every batch. Weigh ingredients precisely and follow recipes accurately. Keep clear production records . Maintain a spotless workspace and deepclean machines between batches. Move; organise, and store ingredients and stock. What you need to bring Ability to lift and carry 25kg bags repeatedly throughout a shift. Stamina to stand and work at a fast pace all day . Reliability you arrive on time, every day. Accuracy with weighing, measuring, and following recipes. Clean; organised work habits. Good English communication skills (spoken and written). Comfortable using basic computer systems for production records. Helpful; but not required Baking experience or work in a busy production bakery. Any highvolume food production background. Ice cream or gelato experience (a bonus, not expected) Hours & Pay Monday to Friday, daytime production hours. Occasional Saturdays during peak season. Starting salary: from R10 500 - depending on experience.
