Every room at this casino hotel in Khayelitsha should feel brand new, and you'll make that happen. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.
Location: Khayelitsha, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.
What your day looks like
- Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
- Vacuum, mop and dust rooms from top to bottom.
- Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
- Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.
- Do evening turndowns with chocolates and curtain closing.
- Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
- Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
You'll need
- Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
- You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
- You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
- Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
- Grade 10 or higher
- Weekend and public holiday work
