Take the lead on complex structural engineering projects from feasibility through to construction. Our client is seeking a professionally registered Senior Structural Engineer who can provide strong technical leadership while managing projects, multidisciplinary teams, and key stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead structural engineering projects from inception through to completion.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, execution plans, fee proposals and cost estimates.
- Conduct feasibility studies, option analyses and technical due diligence.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports and specifications.
- Support procurement through tender documentation, scopes of work, bid evaluations and recommendations.
- Coordinate structural design resources to achieve project quality and programme requirements.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, municipalities, government departments and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to business development and strategic planning initiatives.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship and quality oversight to junior engineers, technicians and draughting personnel.
- Deliver structural and civil engineering projects across sectors including commercial, retail, hospitality and healthcare.
Requirements
- BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering.
- ECSA Pr. Eng registration.
- Minimum 10 years' relevant experience, including at least 2 years post-registration.
- Extensive structural and civil engineering project experience.
- Proven experience with commercial developments such as offices, retail, hotels or healthcare facilities.
- Experience with bridges and water-retaining structures will be advantageous.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Prokon and MS Office.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and people-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
- A strong commitment to safety performance.
