This is a full trails-qualified position suited to a guide who is confident leading both walking safaris and game drives; someone who thrives in an intimate, high-end reserve environment where attention to detail and guest experience come first. Core Criteria:
- NQF Level 4 qualification (essential)
- Full Lead Trails qualified
- 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar guiding role
- Strong knowledge of flora, fauna, and reserve ecology
- Excellent guest interaction and storytelling ability
- Calm, safety-conscious approach to walking and driving safaris
- Reliable, professional, and able to work well within a small team
- Lead guided walking safaris (trails) for guests
- Conduct game drives, sharing knowledge of the reserve's wildlife
- Ensure guest safety throughout all activities
- Maintain guiding equipment and vehicles to a high standard
- Build rapport with guests to enhance their overall experience
- Assist with guiding-related administration and reporting
- Uphold the reserve's conservation and guest experience standards
- Salary: +-R15,000 per month (negotiable, depending on experience)
- Accommodation provided
- Meals provided when on duty
- 6/2 work cycle
- Live-in position
