The Directorate of Dispute Prevention and Resolution (DDPR) invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho candidates for the position of Finance Manager .

The successful candidate will report directly to the Director and will be responsible for leading and managing the Directorate’s financial management function while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Management

• Oversee the full financial function of the DDPR.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning.
• Monitor DDPR performance against budgets and provide financial insights.
• Prepare annual financial statements and coordinate external audits.
• Ensure compliance with IAS, RS, tax legislation, and statutory requirements.
• Manage VAT, PAYE, income tax, and other statutory submissions.
• Review and approve reconciliations, journals, and general ledger transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and payroll processes.
• Advise management and review financial policies while implementing existing policies and internal controls.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.
• Provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations to the Director.
• Monitor the maintenance of the Asset Register.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must possess either:

• Chartered Accountant qualification or a Master’s Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field with at least three (3) years’ working experience in a managerial position in Accounting or Finance.

OR

• A General Accounting (CIFA Advanced Diploma), Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or Business Administration with at least four (4) years’ experience in a managerial position in Accounting or Finance.

Additional Requirements

• Membership with a recognised Accounting or Finance Professional Body will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Lesotho tax legislation and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Valid Driver’s Licence.
