This is an opportunity to grow through practical engineering work across web applications, software systems, automation and AI.
## Job description As a Junior Software Engineer at Retipuj Zoft, you will contribute to the design, development, testing and improvement of software systems built around real-world problems.
You will work alongside senior technical leadership and gain exposure to the full engineering process — from understanding a client's problem and designing a solution through to development, testing, deployment and ongoing improvement.
This role is suited to someone who wants more than a job writing code.
You should be curious about how systems work, willing to learn quickly, comfortable solving unfamiliar problems and serious about becoming a strong software engineer.
### Key responsibilities Develop and maintain web applications and software systems.
Translate business and technical requirements into practical software solutions.
Write clean, maintainable and well-structured code.
Build and integrate APIs and databases.
Assist with frontend and backend development.
Test, debug and improve software applications.
Participate in system design and technical problem-solving.
Assist with deployment, cloud infrastructure and application configuration.
Contribute to automation and AI-related projects where required.
Work with Git and collaborative software development workflows.
Document technical work and development decisions.
Investigate bugs, performance issues and system failures.
Participate in code reviews and technical discussions.
Learn and apply new technologies when project requirements demand them.
Contribute to projects from initial discovery through development, validation and deployment.

## Minimum requirements### Minimum requirements Degree, diploma or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Basic to intermediate programming knowledge in at least one modern programming language.
Understanding of software development fundamentals.
Basic understanding of databases and APIs.
Familiarity with Git and version control.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems logically.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
Ability to learn independently and work with unfamiliar technologies.
Good written and verbal communication.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A genuine interest in software engineering and technology.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate practical projects, coursework, personal projects or other evidence of technical ability.
### Advantageous Experience with Java Script, Type Script, Python, Java, C/C++ or similar languages.
Experience with React, Node.js or another modern development framework.
Experience working with SQL databases.
Exposure to cloud platforms or cloud infrastructure.
Experience building or consuming REST APIs.
Exposure to artificial intelligence or machine learning.
Experience with automation or workflow systems.
Exposure to mobile application development.
Understanding of software architecture and system design.
Experience with embedded systems, Io T or hardware-software integration.
Contributions to Git Hub or other technical projects.
Previous freelance, internship or client-project experience.
