Unit Manager - Emergency Department

Our client is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a busy Emergency Department in Klerksdorp. This opportunity is ideal for a clinically skilled nursing professional with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering exceptional emergency care while driving operational excellence within a dynamic private healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the Emergency Department
- Ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality emergency nursing care
- Supervise, mentor, and develop the nursing team to achieve clinical excellence
- Coordinate patient flow and promote effective multidisciplinary collaboration
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance, infection prevention, and quality standards
- Manage staffing, resources, and stock to support efficient department operations
- Drive continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Minimum Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Nursing with Midwifery
- Postgraduate Qualification in Trauma Nursing with current SANC registration in the specialty
- Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Relevant nursing experience to meet the critical outputs of the role
- Proven leadership and people management skills will be advantageous
- Basic understanding of labour legislation, financial management, and supply chain management principles
- Understanding of the private healthcare industry and its role players will be advantageous
- Computer proficiency
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel
