Cost Accountant - Manufacturing

Location: Hilton, KwaZulu-Natal Type: Full-Time | On-Site An established manufacturing business within the footwear industry is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant (preferably CIMA qualified) to take full ownership of the costing function. This is a hands-on, on-site role for a professional who can operate at both a strategic and operational level, working closely with production to ensure accurate, meaningful costing across the business. Key Responsibilities:
- Full ownership of product costing across materials, labour, and overheads
- Develop, implement, and refine costing models and systems
- Analyse variances and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Partner closely with production and operations teams
- Deliver clear, actionable reporting to support decision-making
- Drive improved cost control and efficiencies across the manufacturing process
- CIMA qualification or similar
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong expertise in standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis
- Proven ability to work closely with production teams
- Highly analytical with strong commercial insight
- Able to work independently and take full ownership of the function
- This is an on-site role based in Hilton, KZN
- Salary is negotiable depending on experience
