We're Hiring a WordPress & Shopify Developer (SEO & CRO Specialist)

Are you a developer who lives in the details, the funnel drop-off, the crawl error, the A/B test that actually moved the needle?

We're looking for a specialist, not a generalist. Someone who's ahead of the platform, not catching up to it.

* You'll own the full lifecycle of our WordPress & Shopify client engagements, from theme development and store builds through to ongoing CRO and technical SEO.

* You'll run monthly conversion audits, manage A/B tests, and keep organic performance sharp across a portfolio of e-commerce clients.

* This isn't a support role. You'll have genuine decision authority and direct collaboration with our Paid Performance and Content teams.

This is a contract, on-site WordPress & Shopify Developer role based in Port Elizabeth. The developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress and Shopify websites, including setting up themes, plugins, and integrations to support marketing campaigns and e-commerce operations. Day-to-day tasks include developing responsive front-end interfaces, implementing back-end functionality, optimizing site performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role also involves collaborating with designers, marketers, and content specialists to translate brand and campaign requirements into high-performing websites, as well as troubleshooting technical issues and maintaining site security and updates.

You're the right fit if you:

Have 3+ years of Wordpress & Shopify experience with strong Liquid proficiency

Know your way around a CRO audit and can build + measure A/B tests end to end

Own technical SEO; Core Web Vitals, Search Console, schema, crawlability, the works

Are obsessive about QA and hate shipping things that aren't ready

Can work proactively, identifying problems before clients notice them

Also need:

• Strong Front-End Development skills, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with Responsive Web Design.
• Proficiency in Web Design and Web Development, with the ability to translate brand guidelines and UX best practices into visually appealing, user-friendly sites.
• Experience in Back-End Web Development for WordPress and Shopify, including theme customization, plugin configuration, and API integrations.
• Hands-on experience with WordPress (custom themes, page builders, WooCommerce) and Shopify (Liquid templates, apps, checkout and product configuration).
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals, site speed optimization, and best practices for e-commerce conversion and tracking.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site with a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field; agency or e-commerce experience is an advantage.
