Motus is South AfricaâÃÂÃÂs leading automotive group, employing over 16 700 people globally. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Specialist: Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance. The Specialist: Accountant will be responsible for managing the company's financial records, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance on financial matters. Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability goals Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations Monitor and evaluate financial performance metrics Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making Participate in audits and other financial reviews Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance CPA certification preferred 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
