Senior Game Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain game systems and real-time interactive applications
• Build and optimise gameplay features using industry-leading development tools and frameworks
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following established development standards
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues throughout the development lifecycle
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality gaming experiences
• Contribute to code reviews, technical discussions, and development best practices
• Optimise applications for performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Work within existing codebases while contributing new features and enhancements

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Game Development, or a related field advantageous
• Proven experience developing games or real-time interactive applications
• Strong experience working with Unity and C#, or Unreal Engine and C++
• Experience working within collaborative software development teams
• Exposure to the complete software development lifecycle
• Strong programming skills in C#, C++, or related languages
• Experience with Unity development and scripting, or Unreal Engine and Blueprints
• Strong understanding of software architecture and coding best practices
• Experience using Git and structured source control methodologies
• Proficiency in debugging, profiling, and performance optimisation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Knowledge of graphics pipelines and optimisation principles advantageous
• Experience developing for mobile, VR, console, or other platforms beneficial
• Exposure to DirectX, OpenGL, or related technologies advantageous
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira beneficial
• Genuine passion for game development and interactive technologies
