At this boutique guesthouse in Vanderbijlpark, you'll turn bookings into happy stays. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.
You'll be based at a boutique guesthouse in Vanderbijlpark. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.
What you'll actually do
- Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
- Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
- Balance your cash float and card slips before handover.
- Manage OTA bookings coming in from online travel channels.
- Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.
- Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
- Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.
What you need
- A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
- Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
- You can work rotating shifts, including nights
- Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
- Clear spoken and written English
Nice if you have
- A foreign language such as German, French or Portuguese
- Amadeus or Galileo training for travel roles
- Opera PMS or Protel certificate
