About the Opportunity
Our client is looking for a hands-on Hybrid Mobile Developer with a strong combination of mobile, web and backend development experience .
This is not a conventional web-only Full Stack Developer position .
The ideal candidate will have genuine practical experience developing hybrid mobile applications using Ionic and Angular , including building and packaging Android APKs for deployment to devices , together with solid backend and database experience.
You will work across mobile applications, web applications and backend systems in a fast-paced environment where ownership, adaptability, problem-solving and clear communication are important.
Critical experience: IONIC, PHP AND MOBILE APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
What You'll Be Working With
Hybrid Mobile Development
- Develop and maintain mobile applications using Ionic
- Build, package and deploy Android APKs
- Work with SDKs and native device capabilities
- Support mobile builds and device deployments
Web & Backend Development
- Develop and maintain web applications using Angular
- Work with PHP and Laravel
- Maintain and develop within a C# environment
Database Development
- Work with Microsoft SQL Server
- Design databases and write complex queries
- Perform database troubleshooting and performance optimisation
Cloud & Development Practices
- Work with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure , where applicable
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews and deployment activities
- Contribute to a collaborative, solutions-focused development environment
What We're Looking For
You should have:
- 4–6 years of relevant software development experience in MOBILE APPLICATIONS
- ESSENTIAL: Strong practical experience with Ionic
- Demonstrable experience in hybrid mobile application development
- Hands-on experience building and deploying Android APKs
- Experience working with SDKs and native device features
- Strong proficiency in Angular
- Practical experience with PHP and Laravel - ESSENTIAL!
- Experience working with C#
- Solid experience with Microsoft SQL Server , including database design, queries and optimisation
- Microsoft Azure experience would be advantageous
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- The ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A collaborative, adaptable and solutions-focused approach
Important Work Requirements
This is an on-site, full-time permanent position .
The successful candidate must be A South African Citizen
Able and willing to work on-site for the full working week
Willing and able to participate in a standby/on-call roster
Overtime may be required from time to time based on project deadlines and operational requirements.
PLEASE NOTE
This opportunity is specifically suited to developers with genuine hands-on hybrid mobile development experience, using IONIC
PLEASE NOTE: If your experience is primarily web development and you have not worked practically with Ionic, PHP/LARAVEL FRAMEWORK. Android APK builds/deployment and mobile application development, this position will not be the right fit.
Likewise, this is not a remote or hybrid-working opportunity .
