Job Advert Summary
Feltex is seeking an experienced Stores Coordinator to purchase and ensure that the correct raw materials are in stock and available for production requirements and adhere to all safety protocols as laid down in the OHS act.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Diploma in Storekeeping/Stock Control
Duties & Responsibilities
Despatch
- Receives customer requirement from OEM’s
- Arrange transport and ensure order is delivered on time
- Generates invoices and despatch documentation for all deliveries to customers
- Pick parts as per customer orders
- Pack parts as per packing instruction on order (Kanban)
- Ensure despatch details are recorded on LX
- Plan and organise distribution to customer on a daily basis
- Escalation measures to be taken for immediate shortages
- Record deliveries on loading documentation
- Ensure invoices are accurately captured on a daily basis;
SHE
- Conduct continuous Risk Assessments in the workplace.
- Conduct Planned Task Observations in the workplace.
- Identify potential hazards and critical safety issues in the workplace.
- Address workplace hazards and risks.
- Apply safety, health and environment practices and legal requirements when working on machines and equipment.
People Management
- Ensure an enabling climate/culture.
- Ensure a safe, secure and legal working environment.
- Manage individual, team and departmental performance to achieve organisational objectives.
- Determine the training needs of the Department.
- Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels
- Ensure discipline is maintained in department (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.)
- Resolve grievances and disputes
