SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a Code 14 Cross-Border Driver (Manual Transmission) to safely and efficiently transport goods across international borders while operating heavy-duty manual transmission trucks, ensuring compliance with road traffic regulations, company policies, and cross-border transport requirements POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Code 14 (EC) driver's licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP).
- Valid Passport.
- Minimum 5 years' experience driving heavy-duty manual transmission trucks.
- Proven cross-border driving experience within Southern Africa.
- Good knowledge of SADC cross-border routes and border procedures.
- Ability to read and complete transport documentation.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.

- Operate Code 14 heavy-duty trucks with manual gearboxes.
- Transport cargo safely to designated destinations across borders.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Ensure all cargo is loaded, secured, and transported according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate trip records, logbooks, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Comply with customs, immigration, and border control procedures.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, delays, or incidents promptly.
- Monitor vehicle performance and arrange maintenance when required.
- Adhere to driving hours and rest period regulations.
- Maintain a professional relationship with clients, customs officials, and company representatives.
- Long-distance and overnight travel.
- Cross-border operations.
- Weekend, public holiday, and shift work as required.
