Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects, including planning, design, procurement, implementation, and decommissioning, in a remote setting.
Develop comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements.
Manage and mentor distributed project teams, fostering a high-performance and collaborative virtual environment.
Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Communicate project status, updates, and critical information effectively to all stakeholders, including executive leadership, through various remote channels.
Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial targets are met.
Ensure adherence to ITIL best practices and other relevant IT infrastructure management frameworks.
Oversee vendor management, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring for IT infrastructure projects.
Drive continuous improvement in IT project delivery processes and methodologies within a remote context.
Facilitate effective knowledge transfer and documentation for all project deliverables.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Advanced IT certifications (e.g., PMP, ITIL Expert, CISSP) are highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 7 years managing large-scale IT infrastructure projects (e.g., data center migrations, cloud deployments, network upgrades).
Proven experience and success in managing projects entirely remotely, demonstrating exceptional virtual leadership and team management capabilities.
Deep understanding of infrastructure technologies including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, servers, storage, and cybersecurity.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, tailored for remote interactions.
Proficiency with remote collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams, Zoom) and project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, MS Project).
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in managing complex budgets and vendor relationships.
Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple projects concurrently, and meet tight deadlines.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align IT projects with business objectives.
