Skills & Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Field Guide in a similar lodge environment
  • FGASA Level 2 qualification or higher (theory and practical completed)
  • Registered with DEAT and THETA (where applicable)
  • Trails Guide Certificate
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • SASSETA Certificates
  • Valid South African Code 8 Driver’s Licence
  • Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
  • Excellent communication and guest-handling skills
  • Strong passion for wildlife observation, conservation, and education
  • Ability to work independently with enthusiasm and initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments
  • Confident, humble, and professional in conduct
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Developmental approach towards colleagues and team members
  • Professional presentation and personal image
  • Team player with a cooperative attitude and willingness to support the lodge’s overall success
