Assistant Maintenance Manager | Luxury Lodge | Touws River, Western Cape
Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Maintenance Manager to join a luxury lodge in Touws River. This hands-on role is responsible for supporting all maintenance operations, ensuring safety compliance, managing projects and contractors, and overseeing the lodge’s facilities and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
Assist the Maintenance Manager in overseeing operations across buildings, accommodation, public areas, and equipment
Manage projects, contractors, and budgets efficiently
Ensure compliance with OHS standards, fire regulations, and safety protocols
Control stock, tools, and procurement processes
Oversee fleet management, servicing, and reporting
Supervise and develop maintenance staff performance and capabilities
Maintain high standards of operational and environmental safety within the lodge
Minimum Requirements
Matric
Relevant maintenance qualifications and certificates
Valid Driver’s License
First Aid Level 3 certification
Strong knowledge of building maintenance and safety compliance
Firefighting experience (Crew Leader/Crew Boss, including grass fires)
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transformers, and generators
Key Skills

Negotiation and cost control skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy and reporting proficiency
Work Environment
Physically active, outdoor role within a game reserve environment
Practical involvement in all maintenance operations
