A cleaning contractor in Welkom needs dependable cleaners for a shopping centre. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.
Location: Welkom, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.
The work, day to day
- Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip
- Set up and clear boardrooms before and after meetings
- Clean the kitchenette, wash cups and wipe down the fridge and microwave
- Sign the ablution checklist on the back of the door after each clean
- Run a scrubber-dryer machine on large tiled areas
- Clean and disinfect toilets, basins and urinals several times a shift
- Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors following the daily cleaning schedule
What you need
- Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
- Comfortable using cleaning chemicals safely with gloves
- Able to stand, bend and walk for a full shift
- Grade 10 or higher
- You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
- Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
Extra points for
- Supervisory experience for team leader posts
- Training on a floor polisher or scrubber machine
- Tea service or kitchen experience
