Recons that balance and suppliers who get paid right: that's the job at a property management company in Kariega. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.
This post is in Kariega (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.
What your day looks like
- Keep the filing system in order for the annual audit or review
- Post month-end journals for accruals, prepayments and depreciation
- Update customer credit limits and put accounts on hold when needed
- Capture supplier invoices and customer receipts on Sage or Xero
- Prepare VAT201 workings for the accountant to submit on SARS eFiling
You'll need
- Accurate with figures and careful with supplier bank details
- Understanding of VAT input and output rules
- Good with Excel: VLOOKUP, pivot tables and simple formulas
- Bookkeeping certificate or diploma (ICB, FASSET learnership or similar)
- Matric with Accounting
- Practical skill in Sage Pastel, Sage Business Cloud or Xero
Nice if you have
- Registered with SAIPA or the ICB as a bookkeeper
- Experience with inventory costing in a trading business
- Knowledge of Sage Evolution or QuickBooks
