You'll control who comes in and out of a construction yard in Pretoria West, and log every visitor properly. This role rewards consistency more than flash.
The work is in Pretoria West, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.
The work, day to day
- Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
- Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
- Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
- Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
- Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
- Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
- Hand out and collect contractor access cards
You'll need
- PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
- Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
- Physically fit for foot patrols
- Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
Helpful, not essential
- Firefighting or evacuation training
- First-aid Level 1 certificate
