About the RoleOur client is seeking a highly skilled Information Security Architect to design and implement secure technical solutions for their operations in Stellenbosch .
This senior role is responsible for creating and maintaining the blueprints for the organization's security infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
You will play a pivotal role in defining security standards, evaluating new technologies, and guiding development teams on secure design principles.
The ideal candidate will have a deep technical understanding of security architecture and a proven ability to translate complex requirements into robust, scalable, and secure systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain the overall information security architecture for the organization.Develop and document security standards, patterns, and best practices for infrastructure and applications.Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to enhance the organization's security posture.Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to ensure security is integrated into system design and implementation.Provide technical leadership and guidance on security architecture reviews and threat modeling.Develop roadmaps for security architecture evolution based on emerging threats and business needs.Ensure the security architecture supports compliance requirements and risk management objectives.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.7+ years of experience in information security, with a significant focus on security architecture and design.Proven experience designing and implementing security solutions for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises infrastructure.Strong knowledge of network security, application security, cryptography, identity and access management, and threat detection.Experience with security frameworks such as ISO *****, NIST CSF, and relevant compliance standards.Excellent analytical, communication, and strategic thinking skills.BenefitsA highly competitive salary with annual performance bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package including medical aid, life insurance, and retirement planning.Generous opportunities for professional development, advanced certifications, and conference attendance.Work with a forward-thinking company on cutting-edge security challenges.Be part of a team dedicated to building resilient and secure systems.
