Principal Scientist - Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) (Full-time)

About the Role

Our client, a globally recognized pharmaceutical research organization located in Randburg , is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Scientist to lead its Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) group. This is a full-time, on-site leadership role requiring deep expertise in ADME (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion) studies and PK/PD modeling. You will be responsible for designing and overseeing in vitro and in vivo DMPK studies, interpreting complex datasets, and contributing critical insights to drug discovery and development programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of scientific excellence, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. You will collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists to guide compound selection and optimization. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and innovative projects at the forefront of pharmaceutical science. A strong understanding of regulatory guidelines and experience with bioanalytical method development are highly desirable. We are looking for a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills who can effectively communicate complex scientific information to diverse audiences. This is a pivotal role within our client's R&D structure, driving the progression of novel drug candidates.
