A digital agency in Sasolburg, Free State is recruiting a Multimedia Designer to design intuitive user experiences for web and mobile applications. You will conduct user research, create wireframes and prototypes, perform usability testing, and work with developers on implementation. A portfolio demonstrating a user-centred design approach is required.
Responsibilities
- Select and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and materials for interior projects, sourcing from suppliers and managing procurement budgets.
- Develop and maintain consistent brand visual identities across all platforms, ensuring typography and colour palettes adhere to brand guidelines.
- Stay updated with current design trends, software developments, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative output.
- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand requirements, develop creative briefs, and present design concepts for review.
- Conceptualise and create compelling visual designs for print advertisements, digital banners, social media content, and brand identities.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines without compromising creative quality.
Requirements
- A minimum of one to three years of professional design experience supported by a strong portfolio showing creativity and technical competence.
- Strong understanding of design principles including colour theory, typography, layout, and composition and ability to apply them effectively.
- A diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communication, interior design, multimedia, or a related creative field.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and familiarity with tools such as Sketch or Figma.
- For CAD roles, demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software with a portfolio of technical drawings.
