The UX Designer will design wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for websites, edit and retouch photographs and digital images to enhance visual quality and select and specify furniture.
This is an on-site role in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal. The company supports further study and professional development where relevant. Responsibilities
- Conceptualise and create compelling visual designs for print advertisements, digital banners, social media content, and brand identities.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines without compromising creative quality.
- Use industry-standard design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to produce high-resolution artwork and prepare files for publication.
- Stay updated with current design trends, software developments, and industry best practices to continuously improve creative output.
- Design wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes for websites and applications, applying user experience principles throughout.
Requirements
- For interior design roles, knowledge of building regulations, space planning standards, and experience specifying materials and finishes.
- For CAD roles, demonstrated expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or similar software with a portfolio of technical drawings.
- A diploma or degree in graphic design, visual communication, interior design, multimedia, or a related creative field.
- A minimum of one to three years of professional design experience supported by a strong portfolio showing creativity and technical competence.
- Good communication and presentation skills to articulate design concepts clearly to clients and team members.
- Strong understanding of design principles including colour theory, typography, layout, and composition and ability to apply them effectively.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, and familiarity with tools such as Sketch or Figma.
