SUMMARY:
We are currently looking for a Code 10 driver with PDP to safely and efficiently transport goods using an 8 Ton truck while ensuring timely deliveries, compliance with road safety regulations, and proper vehicle maintenance POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) preferred.
- Valid Code 10 Driver's Licence.
- Valid Professional Driving Permit (PDP/PrDP).
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience driving an 8-ton truck.
- Sound knowledge of road traffic regulations and transport legislation.
- Good knowledge of local and regional routes.
- Contactable employment references.
- Physically fit and able to assist with loading and offloading.
- Ability to work outdoors and travel long distances when required.
- Safely operate an 8-ton truck for collections and deliveries.
- Transport goods to customers and suppliers according to scheduled routes.
- Load and offload goods safely and securely.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete pre-trip checklists.
- Ensure cargo is properly secured before departure.
- Maintain accurate delivery notes, trip sheets, and logbooks.
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, or breakdowns immediately.
- Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep the vehicle clean and in a roadworthy condition.
- Provide professional customer service during deliveries and collections.
